Coffee Zeit easily has the best coffee in Philly. Having moved back to PA after 14 years in Seattle I couldn’t find coffee on the level of the great coffee shops of the PNW. There’s excellent coffee shops all over town (I tried so many), but not the kind of incredible coffee I was now used to. Then one day Coffee Zeit opened up down the street, and I was blown away when i tried a cup! This is the only coffee shop I’ve found in Philly with coffee as good as Victrola (my favorite Seattle coffee shop) and the other great coffee shops in Seattle. The pastries are excellent as well, but this place has world-class coffee. My iced latte was as happy as I am when i have a drink from Coffee Zeit!

Pistachio matcha iced was amazing. I was my first time trying pistachio milk and it was thin and bright. I want to come back already. It’s small and there was no seating. It felt very cramped but it’s a popular spot. I would definitely come back

Perfection!! Coffee Zeit has nailed the cool urban hipster vibe of a ZEN coffee shop. With a design influence from Australia (Melbourne!) and Asia, this place demonstrates that the perfect artisanal coffee combined with freshly baked pastries makes for one happy experience to enjoy your day. The crowds kept coming while we enjoyed our time there. Heck I would even consider moving to Old City just have this place around the corner

Had a solid experience at coffee zeit! I think they use multiple roasters including some from Germany. The double shot of espresso was dialed in really well. Small but difference - maybe it’s regional - I would’ve preferred sparkling water with the espresso (instead of still water which it came with). They also make pastries in house - I base a savory one and it was nice.

I’ve been searching for a great iced white mocha for so long, and I finally found it here! I originally stopped in for a matcha, but when I saw white mocha on the menu, I had to give it a try—and I’m so glad I did! It was one of the best I’ve ever had. I really hope they keep it on the menu beyond the Fall/Winter season because I’ll definitely be coming back for more!

Their matcha lives up to its hype, but the pastries are so underrated. The chocolate croissant is amazing! Flaky, buttery, chocolatey. I enjoyed every bite. I have yet to try their coffee, will definitely be back for more.

Happened upon this spot due to my search for coffee shops. Iced vanilla/caramel latte was top notch. Extremely smooth and flavorful! Exactly the type of coffee I look forward to having. Nice interior with friendly staff.

This is a great place to work while you grab a bite or drink. The wifi is good and reliable and there is plenty of good seating including some good window seating. The place is minimalistic and light with plenty of natural light. I can't speak to the coffee but the Raspberry jam and cream cheese was great. Light and flaky with a solid filling. The staff was pretty friendly as quick as well. While it seems like a small thing, I always like when there is a water station with glasses too.
